The Auditorium

At the heart of a dynamic and constantly evolving district, the Auditorium Albergotti stands as the first officially recognized public cultural venue in Rome's Municipio XIII Aurelio.

Municipio Roma XIII Aurelio covers a vast area stretching from the San Pietro district to the countryside of Castel di Guido, with a resident population of approximately 135,000 people.

Over the years, the Municipality has worked extensively to revitalize its neighborhoods, parks, and public squares through a diverse program of cultural events, transforming even unconventional locations into vibrant stages for artistic and cultural activities.

The local community has responded with great enthusiasm, showing strong participation and a growing interest in cultural initiatives.

Within this dynamic social context, the Albergotti Auditorium plays a significant role, recognizing culture as a key driver for enhancing quality of life through its wider social benefits: fostering community engagement, personal growth, participation, social cohesion, and the improvement of both the social and urban environment.

The Auditorium represents a unique landmark within Municipio Roma XIII Aurelio, as it is the first officially recognized public cultural venue of its kind in an area that previously lacked dedicated public cultural spaces.

By 2016, construction was nearly complete when a devastating fire completely destroyed the facility.

In 2023, work began on the construction of a new Auditorium designed as a multifunctional venue, capable of hosting a wide range of cultural, educational, institutional, and community activities.

The Auditorium is located in the central area of Municipio Roma XIII Aurelio, in a highly visible position where its distinctive dome has become a recognizable landmark. Its striking architectural profile enhances the surrounding urban landscape, especially in the evening, when carefully designed lighting highlights its visual impact.

The building overlooks the greenery of Pineta Sacchetti Park and is set between two landscaped outdoor areas featuring trees, flower beds, hedges, and urban furnishings, all of which contribute to making the entire complex a valuable asset for the neighborhood.

The Auditorium has become a symbol of urban regeneration, restoring a large area to the community by reclaiming it from neglect and transforming it into a vibrant, flexible, and harmonious public space.
